Method

Notes on the reckoning

  1. Which coins count. A hand-checked roll of well-known Solana memecoins, widened over time by coins that turn up in Jupiter's most-traded and trending lists and among pump.fun's largest with real liquidity behind them. Only coins that were once worth $10M or more make the almanac; thin pools with inflated supply are left out.
  2. Birthdays. The earliest trace we can find: Jupiter's creation time, the first pool, pump.fun's creation time, or the first DefiLlama price. Each entry names its source, since older coins may have existed a few days before their first trace.
  3. High-water marks. The day of the highest daily market-cap candle in Jupiter's records. For coins that topped out before mid-2024 we use the highest DefiLlama price times today's supply, marked est.
  4. The price of SOL. The daily price closest to this date in every year since 2020: DefiLlama before mid-June 2024, Jupiter daily candles after. The current year shows today's candle so far.
  5. Milestones. A short, hand-kept list of well-documented Solana dates (outages, airdrops, landmark launches), each linked to a report or reference. Uncertain dates are left off.
  6. What this page touches. Only public market data, read on the server. There is no sign-in and no wallet; nothing here will ever ask for a recovery phrase or private key, and anyone who does is not to be trusted.
